Reflections on Q1 20242, my first quarter as a freelancer

Now that 2024 Q1 has ended, I want to reflect on my three-month journey so far as a freelancer.

It has been one of the most expansive times of my life, full of incredible new connections and reconnecting with people from my past. I have had a vast range of awe-inspiring experiences. I have also been fully humbled by my body, dealing with both intense Sciatica and Salmonella poisoning.

I have been networking like I’ve never networked before. I have met a whole lot of new amazing humans up to incredible things.

I have more clarity about what I’m to professionally. I want to help shepherd established products and services that I believe in to the next level.

I’ve offered over 80 “service hours” to people I love who could utilize my vast array of skills. That has been so rewarding, and I want to build my life so I have time to continue to do this.

Over the next several days, I will share lessons and experiences from Q1 2024. One concrete thing I accomplished in Q1 is revamping my website — I’ll call it “Regular James 2.0.” It’s a lot more fun now.
